Tip of the Week
Your CV is a very important document; with it rest your hopes and dreams for the future. Your CV therefore has to represent the best you have to offer if you do not want to miss out on that job you saw which was "perfect" for you. Our top CV writing tips:
  1. One size does not fit all! Adapt your CV to the job you are applying.
  2. List the skills and qualities needed and think about the evidence you can draw from your experience to demonstrate that you have them.
  3. Unless you want to spend the rest of your professional life living in a complicated (and deeply unfunny) farce, dont be tempted to lie on your CV.
  4. Don’t be afraid to focus on how your leisure interests can show that you have the right skills for the job.
  5. Second opinion always helps! Take your CV to your careers service and ask to have it looked by a Careers Adviser.
